Our Admissions and Clinical staff will coordinate your admission to our facility with the referring agency. Whether it’s a local hospital, home healthcare agency, or another healthcare facility; we’ll work to make your transition to our facility as easy as possible.

Cost & Assistance

There are various ways for paying for care in a nursing home. Make sure you know your loved one's Medicare and Medicaid eligibility, and understand how you can use tools like long term care insurance to pay for nursing home care.

Q: Does a doctor oversee the healthcare services at Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center?

A: Yes. Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center has house physicians that follow our residents during their stay. The doctor makes rounds weekly and is available to our clinical staff 24 hours per day.

Q: How is the staffing at Pinehurst?

A: Staffed with licensed and registered nurses, as well as certified nursing assistants, our staffing exceeds the State requirement. It’s essential to give you the individualized service you’ll need.

Q: Do you work with other healthcare specialists?

A: Yes. Our clinical staff work and consult with a number of area healthcare specialists (e.g. neurologists, orthopedists, dentists, optometrists, etc.)

Q: Do you provide transportation services?

A: Yes. Our Transportation staff will assist you in making any outside medical appointments and provide you or your loved one with medically necessary transportation services.

Q: Is cable included?

A: Yes. There are no associated fees for our in-room cable service.

Q: Is there a fee for laundry?

A: No. Our Environmental Services Department will handle your linen and laundry needs, including the laundering of any personal items, if you choose.

Q: Does Pinehurst assist in applying for NC Medicaid benefits or Medicare Part D?

A: Yes. With planning, our Social Work and Financial Services Departments can work with you in assisting you make application for NC Medicaid and also in helping you evaluate your Medicare Part D benefits.

Q: Does the facility supply the medications?

A: Yes. Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center works exclusively with Holladay Healthcare Pharmacy to supply all our residents' medication needs.

Q: Does the facility have visiting hours?

A: Yes. Visiting hours are from 8am – 8pm.

Q: Can residents go on outings?

A: Yes. Our Social Programs Department schedules routine outings for our residents, and residents often go on outings with their families.

Q: Does the facility have short-term and long-term beds?

A: Yes. Our Private Rehab Suites offer short term rehabilitation therapy services. For those individuals requiring a longer stay, we also offer a longer-term healthcare option.

Q: Does the facility help with discharge planning for those residents that are short-term?

A: Yes. Our staff will assist with setting up home health and necessary medical equipment, if necessary, and will keep you informed during the discharge planning process.

Q: Does the facility have short-term and long-term beds?

A: Yes. Our Private Rehab Suites offer short term rehabilitation therapy services. For those individuals requiring a longer stay, we also offer a longer-term healthcare option.

Q: Does the facility have a Beauty / Barber Shop?

A: Yes. Pinehurst Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center has a Beauty / Barber Shop and has a beautician/barber in the facility on a regular basis.

Q: Does the facility allow pets to come into the facility?

A: Yes. The facility does allow pets to come in to visit with the residents. All pets must be up to date with all vaccinations. Please speak with the Administrator before bringing in your pet.
